WINTER schedule now posted!

We are offering classes at Talisman and SAIT  this session.


Welcome to the exciting Winter 2012 season of diving with Rocky Mountain Diving Club! We welcome all of our new divers, our returning divers and our excellent coaches!

Changes, changes, changes! All parents: please click on the revised Programs and Schedules Page for information about the FALL 2011 Schedule and our programs at Talisman and SAIT.

WINTER 2012 Registration:

The first day of classes for Winter is as follows:

At SAIT: Sunday, January 8th (10 classes)

At Talisman: Saturday, January 7th  (10 weeks)

Weekday Classes at Talisman will begin Monday, January 9th


 Please Note:  There will be some cancellations due to other facility users. We will have this information out in the Welcome Newsletters in the beginning of December. Please see below for links to the Talisman Newsletter and for the SAIT newsletter.

All classes will run for 10 weeks consecutively, with the exception of these cancellations.

Returning divers: You will receive a Pre-Registration Password via e-mail on December 5th. Please note, this is now a secure, online registration process. Please fill out the form and return to the RMDC Administrators by December 18th for your best chance at securing the spot of your choice.

New divers: once you've taken a look at the timetable and have decided which day/time works best for you, please contact the RMDC administrator by e-mail: admin@rockymountaindiving.ca or by phone: 403-473-4674 on or after December 19th for your registration process.

 Parents: Please take the time to read the RMDC Newsletters which will either be sent by e-mail or sent home with your diver and will be posted on the website. The newsletters contain important news about schedule changes, new additions/changes to our coaching team, and how to register for the upcoming session.

Ever wonder what it might be like to leap off a 10 metre diving platform, arc, twist, rotate and pierce the water in less than three seconds at 50 kilometres per hour? Most springboard and platform divers start their training in a recreational, learn-to-dive program.

Rocky Mountain Diving Club (RMDC) has offered recreational Learn-to-Dive lessons and pre-competitive programs for all ages at Talisman Centre's world-class diving facility.

For 2011, we are running our excellent program out of Talisman and SAIT.

Our coaches are nationally (NCCP) or internationally certified instructors with experience in coaching and diving. Our goal is to provide quality technical springboard and platform diving instruction at the introductory level in a safe, controlled, and fun environment.

Divers begin developing skills on one and three metre springboards and progress to three and five metre platforms as skills improve.

Rocky Mountain Diving Club is also a novice talent identification program for Dive Calgary, Calgary's only competitive diving club.
